Bonne Année

20141214_150927Tricky as quicksilver, the year has all but slipped through our fingers.

We can’t “tuck time under the bed, fix him tight inside a red satin box or string him like pearls”* but on a mid-winter night we might sit quiet in candlelight, gaze at gold and velvet baubles on the tree, and recall the spirit of those who have gone before us, and all they lived and created.

We cannot hold the past, but we have our creativity, imagination and hope. May your New Year hold many days blessed with beauty and good cheer.
